So it's been a while... again. Oh how I can sing the same tune.

Well, this journal basically is about me not posting much of anything on DA, in fact, not doing much art in general. Although anyone probably reading this now might find this as something new (although not shocking) there are a few of you that know me that will just say "typical".

It's not like I didn't do anything over the summer, in fact I did get some stuff done. I ended up making a few trips to the St Louis Zoo and got a lot of lovely pictures that I've been playing with and may become finished works...

But that's the thing - finished works.

I could post a couple of dozen images of images made through different mediums and actually fill my gallery up (and it is seriously lacking in content). However, being the perfectionist that I am, I won't because I don't consider them finished, thus I kind of feel like cheating the system, but most importantly, cheating myself. Also, I hit a brick wall with my Priest image (I posted the WIP) because I was really intimidated by the amount of work I had to put into it, as well as exhausted.

But then came the idea from a friend that I should just post everything I have, increase the amount of people watching me, and get back into the art community. Why is this? Well, truth be told, I'm a glutton for attention :3

Lately I've been venturing out and showing some people who know me in the WoW community my drawings and such. I've gotten some great positive feedback which then motivates me to draw more. Unfortunately, I don't want to fill my gallery with WoW fan art, or fan art in general, although it is becoming a great motivation tool. I've also started doing some art on 4chan over the past few weeks which has actually boosted my drawing skill rapidly over the short time I've done it. I'm getting a lot more comfortable with drawing stuff faster and using my tablet. Both good things in my book.

So here comes the next part. I'm going to be posting a lot of stuff that probably won't be on par with the original work I posted in my gallery (although some of you might disagree). I really do think I need to fill up my gallery and get some people watching.

That's not saying I'm just going to post up crap. I think I can say for myself I set the bar up pretty high and challenge myself always. Even if I do post really sloppy/unfinished stuff, I will try and work on some finer and cleaner pieces to try and tighten up the gallery a bit.

Of course if I do succeed in getting back into the DA community, you can expect the work to kick up a bit.

So I guess that's my current status. Now, time to get posting.
